OUR STORY
Thank you for being here
Meet Erin Lynn
Hey there! I'm Erin Lynn, a craftsman and adventurer rooted right here in St. Johns, Florida. I have a love for hosting friends and family and since childhood it has been my dream to have my home be a place that all whom I love, love to land.
Part of being a good host is elevating the mood in your home through the sense of smell.
This is the vision of RiverHomeCo. :
Make a space that feels like home without compromising on quality or safety; while fostering a community of health-conscious, thriving villages of women.
Just like Laura Ingalls Wilder sharing tales from the prairie, I've got stories of my own. When I'm not candle-making, I'm off exploring the simple pleasures this life has to offer. I like trying new recipes, exercising, reading romance novels, being outdoors, and enjoying warm drinks in a mug. I hope I can be more than just your “Candle Lady” and I can help connect you to things that bring back the joy in the everyday.

In 2017, Jason and I went on an anniversary trip to Waco Texas for the Silobration at Chip and Jo’s Magnolia. (Highly recommend if you haven’t been.) I went from vendor to vendor and I was so inspired by their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each small business owner was so proud and joyful in their booth. Jason and I talked the whole flight home as we dreamed about a business I could share with our community and use our love for making and hosting to grow a business. I already had a small jewelry business so we adapted that name until three years later we found our sweet spot with RiverHome.

It all began with the goal to make the cleanest, strongest smelling candle possible, while staying in an affordable price range. We found soy wax burned the cleanest, and was the most eco-friendly as a sustainable, renewable resource. Then we found cotton wicks that burned without toxins or additives. Finally we searched the whole nation for the cleanest fragrances, that are pthalate-fee, paraben-free, and contain none of the California Prop 65 “Dirty” ingredients. Together these ingredients make, what we think, is the cleanest, biggest, strongest, most affordable candle. Watch us grow as we use what we have learned to more home products!

I get it! It’s so hard to commit to a scent if you have never smelled it. I do my best to describe each scent, and really use words to “paint the scene” for you. Still, sometimes smelling is believing! Currently we are located in 7 boutiques in the North Florida area, and growing! Please go to your favorite local boutique, and if we aren’t there, ask them to carry RiverHome by using the wholesale inquiry side of our page!
We also frequent markets and other local pop-up events. You can click on the events page above to see if we are going to be at a market near you soon!

Essential oils are a great tool for wholistic health and amazing to treat ailments for family members in your home. However, the sole use of essential oils in candles makes a bland, weak scent blend and can be hazardous as highly concentrated essential oils are volatilly flammable. We add CLEAN fragrance oils to our essential oil blends to safely intensify the aroma of each product.
Every single fragrance oil we offer is formulated without phthalates and made without ingredients found on California’s Proposition 65 list.
But fragrances with the Clean Scents™ designation go one step further by also avoiding these 5 main hazard groups.
✖ Carcinogens: These are materials known or thought to cause cancer.
✖ Mutagens: Materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and causing diseases like cancer.
✖ Reproductive toxins: Toxins that adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects.
✖ Organ toxins: These are toxins that can cause adverse effects or disease within specific bodily organs.
✖ Acute toxins: Toxins that can cause adverse effects from a single exposure. Generally, this would be accidental exposure like spillage or ingestion.

Meet Us
My life is intertwined with that of an exceptional man—a devoted outdoorsman and a pillar of strength for our family. While I lose myself in the world of books and candle-making, he finds solace in the great outdoors, where he can really do all the things. His unwavering commitment to our family and his leadership, guiding us towards Christ, paint a beautiful portrait of love. He always brings the compass back to the true North.
Our journey, a blend of raising wild children and the rugged beauty of nature, is a large part of our testimony to the joy we have found in a relationship with Jesus. "Be the Light" means bringing the light of Christ into each interaction. We celebrate the sharing of our stories and the richness to our shared adventure.
Giving Back
“THE THIEF COMES ONLY TO STEAL AND KILL AND DESTROY. I CAME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT ABUNDANTLY.” JOHN 10:10
One of the most important things that the gospel compels us to is generosity. Jesus did not withhold generosity at the cross and we respond by not withholding from Him. We commit to donating at least 10% of our profits to the 10:10 initiative. Read more about this initiative here.
